Renal and Urology News (1/8, Charnow) reports that research published online in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology indicated that “computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous cryoablation for early-stage renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is highly efficacious and has a favorable safety profile.” Investigators came to this conclusion after treating “134 patients with biopsy-proven RCC using CT-guided cryotherapy.”
